(Italia, 1974) E’ un autore che lavora a progetti indipendenti a lungo termine, utilizzando fotografia, video e testi. Si dedica in particolare allo studio delle questioni sociali, esplorando la relazione tra potere e individui. Conosciuto per il suo interesse specifico nei paesi post-sovietici, ha pubblicato su questo argomento: “Dusha” (Anima russa) nel 2007, “La linea inesistente” nel 2009, “Red Thistle” nel 2012 e “Spasibo” nel 2013. I suoi progetti hanno ottenuto prestigiosi riconoscimenti, tra cui diversi premi World Press Photo (2007, 2009, 2011), e borse di studio come l’Aftermath Grant, l’European Publisher Award for Photography e il Carmignac Photojournalism Award. Collabora regolarmente per importanti riviste in tutto il mondo e ha realizzato installazioni, mostre e proiezioni a festival e gallerie in tutto il mondo tra cui il Nobel Peace Center di Oslo, Saatchi Gallery di Londra, MEP di Parigi e il Palazzo delle Esposizioni di Roma. Si dedica ad attività di formazione, conferenze presso università e laboratori didattici a livello internazionale.

 (Italy, 1974) Is an artist and a visual journalist working on long term independent project using photography video and text. He has devoted himself to the study of social issues, exploring the relation between Power and individuals. Known for his specific interest in the post-soviet countries, he published four books on this topic: Dusha, Russian Soul in 2007, La Linea Inesistente, in 2009, Red Thistle in 2012 and Spasibo in 2013. His projects have brought him numerous awards, including several World Press Photo prizes (2007, 2009, 2011), and grants such as the Aftermath Grant, European Publishers Award and Carmignac Photojournalism Award. He regularly contributes for leading publications all over the world, and his projects have been presented as installations, exhibitions and screenings at festivals and galleries worldwide including the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Saatchi Gallery in London, MEP in Paris and Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. He is engaged with educational activities, regularly lecturing at universities and teaching workshops internationally.
